Brandefy’s Chicago office is on West Adams Street in the West Loop. Full-service means concept, scripting, casting, crew, editing, animation, and delivery all sit in one contract. The company started in 2011 and has completed more than 3,000 projects for over 500 clients.
Few cities have an economy this mixed. These are the sectors where video does the most work, and the format that tends to fit each one.
Some of the biggest names in packaged food are based here. Short product spots and social cuts help a brand win space on the shelf and in the feed.
LaSalle Street banks, trading firms, and fintech startups use customer stories to make complicated products feel approachable.
The region still builds machinery, food equipment, and medical devices. 3D animation shows how a product works when a camera cannot get inside it.
McCormick Place is the largest convention center in North America. Booth films, keynote recaps, and highlight reels keep working after the show closes.
Hospital systems downtown and drug and device makers in the northern suburbs need patient education and staff training that holds up to compliance review.
Ad agencies and corporate marketing departments can bring us in as the production arm: we shoot to your boards and deliver to your specs.
What we check before we lock a schedule here.
Sources: Chicago Film Office permit guidelines and the Illinois Film Office. We re-check both before every shoot, because lead times and rates change.
Typical locations include office towers in the Loop, plants and warehouses along the I‑55 and I‑88 corridors, restaurants, clinics, and the show floor at McCormick Place.
“Attention to detail was outstanding. The self-paced course was delivered on time and perfectly formatted for our platforms.”
“Exceptional results at a fair price. I’d work with Brandefy again—exclusively.”
“Brandefy’s sizzle made me look like a rock star. 1st runner up—and the show was optioned. They’re my secret weapon.”
A single, simple video with Brandefy starts around $5,000. Several shoot days, a larger cast, or a lot of animation raise the number, and full campaigns can run $100,000 or more. You get a detailed estimate after the first call.
Two to four weeks is realistic for one simple video. Most projects take four to six weeks, and a campaign with many deliverables can take twelve or longer. Filming on a Chicago street or sidewalk adds at least four business days for the permit.
It is at 625 W Adams Street, Chicago, IL 60661, in the West Loop. Brandefy’s headquarters are in Santa Monica, California, and the company has been producing video since 2011.
When a shoot occupies a street, sidewalk, alley, or other city property with equipment or vehicles, or gets in the way of traffic or pedestrians. The Chicago Film Office handles those permits and needs at least four full business days. Filming inside a private home or business needs the owner’s approval instead.
With the right permission, yes. Millennium Park and Navy Pier issue their own permits rather than going through the Film Office, and the Riverwalk asks for at least 10 days of notice with restrictions in peak season. We work out who to apply to during pre-production.
It is, with planning. Daylight drops to about nine hours in late December, so exterior scenes get scheduled tightly around midday. We also build in warm-up breaks for cast and crew and keep an indoor backup location ready in case the wind or snow wins.
Event coverage is one of our regular formats, including booth films, keynote recaps, and highlight reels. Convention centers set their own rules for outside crews, power, and load-in, so send us the show name and booth number early and we will coordinate with show management.
Commercials are eligible. The credit is 35% of qualified Illinois spending, and a project under 30 minutes has to spend at least $50,000 in the state. The Illinois Film Office reviews applications, and they have to be filed before filming begins.
We travel throughout Cook, DuPage, Lake, and Will counties, including Evanston, Skokie, Oak Park, Oak Brook, Schaumburg, Naperville, Aurora, Joliet, and Northbrook.
