TRUSTED BY BRANDS ACROSS INDUSTRIES
Brandefy opened in 2011 and works out of an office on California Street in the Financial District. We produce video for product launches, funding announcements, recruiting pushes, conferences, and campaigns, in live action, animation, or both.
Projects here usually have a fixed date attached: a launch, a board meeting, a keynote. We plan backward from that date, say early if the scope will not fit, and keep you with the same producer throughout.
Companies in this region tend to sell complicated things. Video earns its place by making them simple to grasp.
Product walkthroughs, feature launches, and customer stories that show the software doing its job.
Pitch videos, demo-day pieces, and crowdfunding films sized for a deck or a landing page.
Science explainers and 3D sequences for teams working between Mission Bay and South San Francisco.
Explainers and brand films that keep a careful message clear for customers and investors.
Keynote openers, session recaps, and sizzle reels for gatherings at Moscone Center and venues across the city.
Donor appeals, impact stories, and campaign videos for mission-driven organizations.
Three phases, in the same order on every job. There is more detail on the process page.
Discovery call, creative concept, script, and storyboard. We also lock locations, cast, crew, and permits, and send a schedule for your approval.
Shoot days at your site, out in the city, or in a studio, led by a director. Animated projects go into style frames and animation during this phase.
The edit comes together with color, sound design, music, and graphics. After your feedback rounds, we deliver finished files sized for each place the video will run.
The Bay Area runs on software, hardware, and new products. Each of these portfolio projects comes from that territory.

City streets, sidewalks, and most public property inside city limits.
City parks need a separate permit from the parks department.
The Golden Gate National Recreation Area issues its own film permits.
Most piers and the Embarcadero. The Port request form goes in with the Film SF application.
Commercial filming on bridge property needs a District permit, requested at least 30 days ahead. Drones are banned over and near the bridge.
Outdoor filming in the Presidio requires a separate permit from the Trust.

“They exceeded expectations. The videos helped us build a presence in 55 countries and drove strong growth across social, email, and web.”
“Exceptional results at a fair price. I’d work with Brandefy again—exclusively.”
“We use the video everywhere—Zoom, meetings, YouTube, our site. Prospects say EZ Stacker ‘sells itself.’ Exactly the impact we needed.”

Most full-service projects cost from roughly $5,000 up to $100,000, and multi-video campaigns can run higher. Shoot days, crew size, on-camera talent, locations, and animation are the biggest factors. City permit fees are added to the estimate when a shoot needs them.
Two to four weeks covers a simple shoot and edit. Larger productions take four to six weeks, and a campaign with several videos can take three months or longer. Film SF wants permit applications at least five business days before filming, and the Golden Gate Bridge District asks for 30 days.
Film SF requires one for commercial, corporate, and still-photo productions that use public property. A shoot that stays entirely on private property, with no production parking on the street, does not need a city permit.
Applying is free. Film SF then charges a daily use fee, listed at $300 per day for commercials and corporate media and $200 per day for still photography. Police support and other city services are billed separately.
Filming on bridge property for commercial use needs a permit from the Golden Gate Bridge District, requested at least 30 days in advance, and drones are not allowed over or near the bridge. Viewpoints on nearby land fall under other agencies, mainly the National Park Service.
Yes. We produce explainer animation in 2D, product animation in 3D, and motion graphics, either on their own or mixed with live action.
