Built for the Businesses Atlanta Is Known For

Payments, logistics, healthcare, consumer brands, and film all have deep roots here. This is the kind of video each one tends to need.

Fintech and payments

Metro Atlanta is one of the country’s main hubs for payment processing. An animated explainer can make a platform, a fee model, or a new feature clear in under two minutes.

Animated explainers

Healthcare and public health

Hospitals, health systems, and health-tech companies use patient and customer stories to earn trust before a first appointment or a first sales call.

Testimonial videos

Logistics and aviation

With one of the world’s busiest airports and major freight carriers close by, local teams need training, safety, and recruiting videos that work across shifts and sites.

Training videos

Consumer and restaurant brands

Product spots and short social cuts for food, beverage, retail, and franchise brands, made to run on TV, connected TV, and paid social.

Commercials

Film, TV, and entertainment

Georgia hosts a steady stream of film and series work. We cut sizzle reels and pitch pieces for producers who need to sell a show before it is made.

How We Run an Atlanta Production

  1. Pre-production

Discovery and strategy come first: your brand, audience, and goals. Then we develop the concept, write the script, and storyboard it for approval, and line up casting, locations, schedule, and permits.
  2. Production

We film on set or in a studio with a full crew, or build the piece in animation with professional voiceover. Either way it follows the script and storyboard you approved.
  3. Post-production

The edit comes together with motion graphics, color correction, and an audio mix. You review, we revise, and final files go out in the formats your channels need.

Filming in Atlanta: What Affects the Plan

Local rules and conditions we account for before anyone books a crew.

City permits

Shoots on public property in the City of Atlanta, and anything that closes a street, lane, or sidewalk, go through the Mayor’s Office of Film & Entertainment. Closures also need a traffic plan and notice to nearby residents and businesses, so we file early.

The BeltLine and parks

Commercial filming on the Atlanta BeltLine needs separate permission from Atlanta BeltLine, Inc., which asks for requests at least 10 business days ahead. City parks require a site plan with the permit application.

Traffic and crew moves

The Downtown Connector and I‑285 can turn a short drive into an hour. We group locations by neighborhood and keep crew moves out of rush hour.

Weather

Summers are hot and humid, and afternoon thunderstorms are common. We shoot exteriors early, hold a covered backup location, and watch for heavy pollen in early spring.

Drones

Aerial work needs an FAA Part 107 certified pilot. Hartsfield-Jackson, DeKalb-Peachtree, and Fulton County airports each have controlled airspace over parts of the metro, so many flights need FAA authorization first.

Georgia tax credit

Georgia’s 20% film tax credit can cover commercials, but a production company has to spend at least $500,000 in the state in a tax year, and commercials do not get the extra 10% promotional uplift. Most single brand videos fall below that minimum.

Questions About Video Production in Atlanta

Where is Brandefy’s Atlanta office?

At 3280 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30305, in Buckhead. Brandefy was founded in 2011 and is headquartered in Santa Monica, California.

What does it cost to produce a video in Atlanta?

Full-service projects with Brandefy generally start near $5,000. Multi-day shoots, larger casts, and heavy animation can push a budget past $100,000. After a kickoff call we send a detailed quote so you can see what drives the number.

How far ahead should we book an Atlanta shoot?

Plan on 2 to 4 weeks for a simple video and 4 to 6 weeks for a mid-size project. Campaigns with several deliverables can run 12 weeks or longer. Add time if the shoot needs a street closure or a BeltLine location.

Does filming in Atlanta require a permit?

Usually, if you are on public property. The Mayor’s Office of Film & Entertainment permits filming on city property and any shoot that closes a street, lane, or sidewalk. A shoot kept entirely on private property with the owner’s permission often does not need one, though some activities, such as night lighting in a residential area, still do. We handle the applications during pre-production.

Can we film on the Atlanta BeltLine?

Yes, with permission. Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. requires a commercial filming request, proof of insurance, and at least 10 business days of notice. Shorter notice carries a rush fee.

Is the Georgia film tax credit available for a commercial?

Sometimes. Commercials can qualify for the 20% base credit, but the production company has to reach $500,000 in qualified Georgia spending within a tax year, and the 10% promotional uplift does not apply to commercials. An audit is required before the credit can be claimed. Most single brand videos do not reach the minimum.

What should we know about drone footage in Atlanta?

Commercial flights need an FAA Part 107 certified pilot. Large parts of the metro sit under controlled airspace around Hartsfield-Jackson, DeKalb-Peachtree, and Fulton County airports, so FAA authorization has to be requested before the shoot date.

When is Atlanta hardest to book?

Hotels, parking, and crews get tight during large conventions at the Georgia World Congress Center, over Labor Day weekend when Dragon Con is downtown, and around the SEC Championship in early December. Film and series productions also keep local stages busy through the year, so early holds help.

Which cities near Atlanta do you cover?

We film across metro Atlanta, including Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Decatur, Marietta, Smyrna, Alpharetta, Roswell, Duluth, Kennesaw, and Peachtree City.

What is the first step?

Use the quote form on this page or call (424) 835-0405. We schedule a kickoff call, then follow up with a proposal covering concept, schedule, and cost.
